Mainstage Center for the Arts Announces Open Auditions for its Harmony Show Choir 

Mainstage Center for the Arts is proud to announce open auditions for The Harmony Show Choir. The choir consists of 40 singer/dancers of high school age. Auditions will take place at Mainstage School of Dance, 475 Hurfville - Cross Keys Rd, Sewell, NJ, on Saturday, July 13, from 9:45 AM – 12 PM. The Harmony Show Choir acts as ambassadors to Mainstage Center for the Arts with an array of performance opportunities throughout the community and beyond. Over the past four seasons, The Harmony Show Choir has delighted thousands of people across the region with rousing renditions of Broadway, pop, and classics. The choir has performed at prestigious venues including The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Wildwood Boardwalk, The Waikiki Slack Key Guitar Festival, Disney World, Philadelphia Winterfest, and The Paper Mill Playhouse. 

Students selected to be a part of this talented group will have the opportunity to fine-tune their craft with intensive instruction that includes voice and dance training. The Harmony Show Choir runs from September through Mid-August and rehearses Sunday evenings. Students will still be able to participate in school activities and arts programs.

The Harmony Show Choir is led by a professional staff of artists including: Ed Fiscella (Artistic Director), Lexi Schreiber and Jillian Clark (Music Directors), Grace Szczepkowski and Anthony Magnotta (Dance Directors), and Lorena Melcher (Company Manager).

FOR THE AUDITION:

Are you entering 9th-12th grade and love to perform? Or know someone who is? The Harmony Show Choir provides a perfect opportunity. This high school-aged show choir performs year-round throughout the tri-state area. It serves as an outlet for young artists to grow and perfect the craft of performing in a positive atmosphere.

Date/Time: - Saturday July 13, 

10 a.m. Please arrive by 9:45 to sign in.

Those auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars of a song - something that will showcase their voice. A backtrack is required. A phone or iPod may be used.

Please bring a change of clothes to dance in with dance shoes or other non-street shoes.
